CARBONATOS, NITRATOS Y BORATOS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CALCITA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>F\u00f3rmula: CaCO<sub>3<\/sub><\/p>\n<p>Sistema cristalino: Trigonal.<\/p>\n<p>Forma y h\u00e1bito: H\u00e1bitos muy variados, m\u00e1s de 300 formas. 3 h\u00e1bitos son los principales: 1. Prism\u00e1tico 2. Rombo\u00e9drico 3. Escaleno\u00e9drico. En agregados granulados finos o gruesos, masas terrosas o en forma estalact\u00edtica. Maclas muy corrientes, el plano de macla seg\u00fan pinacoide b\u00e1sico {0001} o puede ser el romboedro {1011}.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Propiedades f\u00edsicas: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Color: Blanco a incoloro, pero puede tener diversas tonalidades: rojo, verdoso, azulado, amarillo, depende la presencia impurezas.<\/p>\n<p>Exfoliaci\u00f3n: {1011} perfecta.<\/p>\n<p>Fractura concoidea.<\/p>\n<p>Partici\u00f3n: seg\u00fan las laminillas de macla seg\u00fan {0112}.<\/p>\n<p>Raya: Blanca.<\/p>\n<p>Brillo: V\u00edtreo.<\/p>\n<p>Dureza: <strong>H <\/strong>3, excepto seg\u00fan {0001}, en la que no pasa de 2 y se raya con la u\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Peso espec\u00edfico: <strong>G<\/strong> 2,71 g\/cm<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Presenta en dos polimorfos: la calcita y el aragonito.<\/p>\n<p>El espato de Islandia es una variedad qu\u00edmicamente pura, transparente y con la propiedad de la doble refracci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Puede ser fluorescente bajo la luz ultravioleta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Composici\u00f3n: <\/strong>CaO 56% CO<sub>2<\/sub> 44%.
